
The AABI Incubator of the Year Award is designed to promote the development of incubators within Asia-Pacific region by giving recognition to incubators with the most outstanding performance in the past year.
Any AABI incubator member is eligible to be nominated as a candidate for this award though AABI association member within its economy. A non-member incubator wishing to be nominated can be accepted as a candidate only if it agrees to become an AABI incubator member.
Candidates with top performance will be selected as the winners of the AABI Incubator of the Year Award by a carefully chosen Judge Committee, and each will get a plaque and a grant of 500 US dollars. The winners will receive an official invitation to attend the award ceremony during AABI General Assembly.

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) is a statutory body dedicated to fostering innovation and technology advancement in Hong Kong through the provision of state-of-the-art facilities and high caliber end-to-end services. The Incubation Programmes enable innovative ideas to mature into practical and market-oriented products and services. The Corporation acts as a crucial bridge linking academia and industry to enable the commercialisation of applied research. Major partnerships has been established with research institutions, universities and leading technology companies from around the world for project collaboration, technology and knowledge transfer, as well as business opportunities across a spectrum of industries.
As of today, HKSTPC has attracted more than 700 technology companies, which employ a workforce of close to 13’000 in Science Park. In 2016, the corporation received 3 recognitions of its incubation work, that includes “InBIA's Technology/IT Incubator of the Year”, “Dinah Adkins Incubator of the Year”, and “InBIA Randall M. Whaley Award - Incubator of the Year Award”. In 2017, HKSTP became the first Hong Kong organization to be named a “National-level Technological Companies Incubator” by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. In 2018, the first ever A.I. technology development platform in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong AI & Data Laboratory Limited, was established jointly by Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA), SenseTime and HKSTPC, which focused on advancing the frontiers of A.I. with cutting-edge technologies and expertise, and empowering startups to commercialize their new inventions. These high-level recognitions underscores HKSTP’s efforts and contributions in incubating start-ups, developing talent and providing funding support to our partner companies.
